Saving Lives
Thank you for your support in saving homeless pets!
We are completely reliant on donations from people just like you.
Did you know that DAWG is not funded by any state or local government, and is not a "local branch" of any national organization?
Donations to Dedicated Animal Welfare Group pay for needed medical care for abandoned animals. Working closely with field services and the animal care supervisor, DAWG helps to get injured pets into the very best critical care facilities, where highly skilled veterinarians begin vital treatments and/or surgery to save a pet’s life.
Many homeless pets that end up at the shelter are in need of medical care. Through the generosity of animal lovers, DAWG is able to obtain the highest quality medical care for every animal in need. We treat our sweet orphans the same as we would treat our own feline or K9 family members at home.
Mission for Home
DAWG and the Mission Viejo Shelter are rescuing animals from high kill shelters through the program called Mission for Home.
Overcrowded shelters are contacting the shelter to request that we take some of their animals. As space permits, we are doing just that. Nearly 200 pets come into the shelter each year through this amazing program. DAWG pays for spay and neuter of each rescued pet as well as paying for top notch medical care. We know when we rescue a pet, we are saving a life! After they have healed, each rescued pet is placed into a wonderful forever home.
Rosie is just one example of the kind of care pets receive. At only 5 years of age, this super sweet girl loves everybody, even though she came to the shelter in pain. Rosie received TPLO surgery (repair of her cruciate ligament - in her knee) and for the first time in a very long time, Rosie can walk using her leg. Painful as life has been for this sweet girl, she is feeling great now, thanks to donors like you. Thank you for making life better for all of our animal friends at the Mission Viejo Animal Shelter. There is MORE good news. The family fostering Rosie love her so much. They say she has already become part of their family during the time they have been caring for her. Just what we love to hear. Rosie has been adopted into a wonderful forever home.

ENDOWMENTS
& GRANTS
Large contributions, endowments or grants ensure that DAWG will be able to help more rescued pets and will continue to provide lifesaving medical care to all of the shelter’s homeless pets. We will soon be including a link to a form for you to complete. Feel free to contact us and a board member for DAWG would be pleased to talk with you and answer any questions you may have.
FOREVER REMEMBERED WALL
In honor or in memory of a deceased or living pet or a special person who loved animals, DAWG has provided a special location at the shelter for a memory wall. The wall is adorned with the photos of several special animals rescued by DAWG and the shelter.
Your donation for the Forever Remembered WALL is $250 and can include 2 pets and your family’s last name, for instance: Milo Smith or Milo & Cali Smith.
The Forever Remembered wall is updated in the month of January of each year. Your donation and order can be sent to DAWG at any time.
