Welcome To DAWG

When Matty came to the Mission Viejo Animal Shelter, his fur around his eyes was so matted he was unable to open his eyes. He needed to be shaved down so that he could move his legs and walk and he needed veterinary care including extensive dental care. Each year DAWG gives a helping hand to animals like Matty who have been severely neglected. And with the recent economic hardships the number of abandoned animals in this predicament is increasing.

Today Matty is thriving. He is happy, healthy, living with a wonderful family and very handsome. The generosity of the people in the community saved Matty's life. Donations to DAWG will save more animals that deserve a chance for a new life.

Donations to DAWG pay for:

• Medical Treatment - including diagnostic tests, treatments and medicines to bring sick and neglected animals back to good health
• Life-saving Surgery - including mending broken legs, removing tumors, and even delicate eye and/or ear surgery
• Dental Care - including extraction of teeth that have decayed and treatment for infected gums
• Adoption Promotions - including paying for a portion of the adoption fee for dogs and cats that have had difficulty finding the right home
• Kitten & Puppy Care -100% of veterinary care and formula for all baby animals in foster care
• Special-Needs Animals - Our "Angel Program" was initiated to assist families who adopt a pet with special on-going medical treatment.
• Training - Obedience training for dogs that may require professional training once they are adopted by a new family
