Zeus’s Rescuer Thanks DAWG

Kimberly came to the shelter to visit Zeus while he was healing from surgery. She was so pleased to see him doing well because her last memory of him was sitting with him while he was in extreme pain from having been hit by a car. His leg was not only broken but dislocated and he was crying in pain. You can imagine her relief in seeing him just a few weeks later feeling pretty well but still healing from surgery. Kimberly and a couple of other people stayed with Zeus for 30 minutes until the officer came to get him. At night, the officers are on call so they have to drive to the shelter to pick up their truck and then to the scene.  Thankfully Kimberly did a great job keeping our sweet guy calm.

We wrote to Kimberly giving her an update on Zeus's adoption along with a photo of his new family telling her how much he loves them, especially his new sister, Zoe. We were so pleased to receive a lovely response from this guardian angel.

This is amazing news!!  My entire family is so happy to see the pictures of Zeus with his new family.  It is amazing to think that he was alone, hurt and in so much pain not long ago, and with love and support from our community and great organizations like DAWG, he now belongs to this happy family.  It seems like a perfect match "Zeus and Zoe", like it was meant to be.

Thank you for keeping us updated.  Although I am sad how we "met", I am happy to be a part of this great organization and look forward to hearing many more success stories through the newsletters.

Thank you, Sharon.

Best Regards,
Kimberly
