The DAWG Dispatch

Sweet boy Sherman is feeling so much better. This lovely Flat Coated Retriever is one of the dogs DAWG rescued from Downey in late April. We knew he wasn’t feeling quite himself and we now know why. Sherman has pneumonia. We also have learned that some dogs with pneumonia do not cough or show respiratory symptoms.   Thanks to your devotion to our shelter animals, Sherman is getting medical care and will be restored to good health in no time. If you would like to donate toward Sherman’s care, we would deeply appreciate some help.

A family who has been so generous in helping our orphaned animals, were saddened by the loss of their little elderly dog who passed away. They came to the shelter to visit and love was in the air.

DAWG paid for care for little Fabio who came to the shelter with mange. Dr. Thompson at Mission Pet Park Hospital helped us out by keeping and treating this little 4 month puppy until he was no longer contagious.

Tiny little Bambino was so shy when he first came to the shelter. With the busy activity and all the excited dogs at the shelter, Bambino took some time to feel at home.

The gentleman in this family is retiring in just 4 weeks. He and Sawyer will have lots of time to play, take longs walks and just hang out.

Snuggy is just a 6 month old baby and full of puppy playfulness. Today he found a fabulous new home.

Pippin is one happy dog.  Such a cool little one and lots of fun too.
